The celebrated zombie-shooter receives its second and largest DLC release this October.
Originally scheduled for release this past August, VR publisher and developer Vertigo Games today confirmed that their latest expansion to their 2016 zombie-shooter Arizona Sunshine – The Damned DLC, will be arriving on Oculus, SteamVR, and PSVR October 3rd.
Set before the events of the main campaign and Dead Man DLC, Arizona Sunshine – The Damned puts you in the boots of a U.S. Special Forces operative sent on a veritable suicide mission to reactivate a gargantuan mega-dam. Of course, things go south almost immediately, and you soon find yourself alone against a horde of undead civilians, engineers, even fellow soldiers; that is unless you team-up with a buddy in co-op.
“The Damned DLC has a unique feel to it because it features a sprawling new level with dizzying heights and terrifying lows… blue skies and dark corridors,” said Paul van der Meer, Producer at Vertigo Games, in an official release. “Alone, or with another player in co-op, you have to work your way through the bowels of the dam to complete your mission and get to safety. Handguns and rifles are plentiful, which is a good thing, because so are the Freddies.”
Arizona Sunshine – The Damned DLC will be available to purchase on SteamVR, Oculus, and PSVR October 3rd for $4.99.
During E3 2019 this past June, Vertigo Games revealed they were bringing the original Arizona Sunshine experience, as well as both DLC releases, to the Oculus Quest sometime later this year. Based on the visuals and resolution, it appears as though the trailer released today features footage from a Quest headset.
No word yet on an official release date, though with OC6 kicking-off tomorrow, we can only hope for new information.
