Seeking Dawn’s PSVR Version Coming In December, Free DLC Next Month

Multiverse isn’t ready to throw in the towel on its ambitious VR sci-fi shooter, Seeking Dawn, just yet.

Today the studio revealed a detailed development roadmap for the recently-released role-playing game (RPG), which lists some important points. For starters, an update later this month will fix some critical bugs players have been wrestling with since launch, as well as add a left-handed mode and optimizations to network performance and graphical fidelity. They’ll also add more detailed save file information and other improvements.

Moving into September, Multiverse will launch the game’s first free DLC, Age of Master, which will bring a new playable area with more monsters and new weapon upgrades and skins. September will also see the release of the game’s harder Master Mode as well as some redesigns for levels and, crucially, a tune-up for respawning resources. The crafting aspect of the game, which hinges upon resource collection, really slowed the action down and was one of the biggest complaints in our 6/10 review.

For PSVR fans that have been patiently waiting for the long-promised port we have good news: Multiverse says it’s coming in December. We’ll keep out fingers crossed that the team actually hits that date and that it arrives with previously hinted-at features like PlayStation Aim Controller support. There will also be an emoji system and yet more improvements added during this time.

Finally, Multiverse has released a new developer diary that chronicles the making of the game. There’s also a few teases about what to expect in the coming updates towards the end.

With just a few changes, Seeking Dawn could go from a decent VR game to a very good one, so we’re looking forward to these updates.
