PSVR Supported Trackmania Turbo Is Free On PS Plus Next Month

Between a price drop, several new game announcements, and the launch of Wipeout VR, yesterday was a busy one for Sony’s PlayStation VR (PSVR) headset, but there was still one piece of news that might have slipped under your radar.

The company also announced its line-up of free games available to PlayStation Plus members in April. It includes several big titles like Mad Max but, of news to PSVR owners is Trackmania Turbo. Just like Wipeout, the Ubisoft-published game got a free update post-release that added support for Sony’s VR headset and from next week PS Plus members will be able to download it free of charge.

Trackmania Turbo is a physics-defying racer that lets players speed around massive courses, performing huge jumps and speeding through loops. It’s not like other games in the genre where you compete for first place, instead requiring players to navigate its courses with perfection. The PSVR support features its own set of challenges across several courses. The game is played from a third-person perspective.

We never got around to reviewing the game’s PSVR support but the VR community seemed to be quite fond of it even with a lack of cockpit driving. It should be enough to keep you entertained while we wait for some other new releases.
