Community Download is a weekly discussion-focused articles series published every Monday in which we pose a single, core question to you all, our readers, in the spirit of fostering discussion and debate.
It’s hard to believe that it’s already June but here we are. Next week is the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, CA and we’ll be there on the ground reporting from the event like always.
This year Sony has pulled out of E3 and will not be having a press conference nor will they have a physical presence at the show whatsoever. In fact, with no Sony, that leaves a huge gap in terms of what we typically expect in terms of usual VR content. Now only Oculus really has a big VR presence.
But among the scatterings of other indie developers, a handful of AAA studios working on VR, and everything else going on around E3 there is still plenty of VR to see and hear about this year. Plus, there’s this whole thing:
As the image above outlines, this year we are hosting the first-ever E3 VR Showcase. The showcase kicks off at 9AM PT on June 10 at the UploadVR YouTube channel and is jam-packed with new VR game announcements and more. The event is going to be a live video hosted on our YouTube that you can watch the debut premiere of with us or check out as a normal video once it ends. You can read more about it here.
Which leads me to the discussion question of the week: What are your VR predictions for E3 2019? Let us know down in the comments below!
