The popular language-learning platform is even more intelligent with object recognition technology.

Now Rosetta is offering a new form of augmented reality machine learning that can translate text and identify objects in real-time, once again establishing themselves as the main authority in technology-based language education. Built upon the companies Dynamic Immersion, a feature which surrounds the user in an international location in which to explore new phrases and dialects, the experience utilizes the iPhone’s impressive AR capabilities combined with machine learning technology to translate real-world text, and identify real-world objects via advanced object recognition technology.
To help introduce the technology, Rosetta is launching a beta of their upcoming language learning game, Seek & Speak, in which students can use their iPhone camera at an object to learn its vocabulary word in either English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish, with more languages planned for future release.

Additional improvements to these five languages include ‘Embedded Translations,’ which allows users to hold down on any foreign word to show its translation, as well as updated to the offline Phrasebook, currently housing a collection of over 164 useful spoken phrases.
Rosetta Stone for iPhone currently supports 30 languages, some available strictly online. You can check out Rosetta Stone free for 30-days, after which you can purchase a prescription ranging from $84 to $200.
